Equality, diversity and inclusion

The University of 69成人网 is committed to providing a fair environment that embodies and promotes equality of opportunity. We value the different contributions and experiences of all who make up our community, promoting mutual respect and understanding as well as freedom of thought and expression.

We joined the Athena Swan Charter in 2012, achieving our first institutional bronze award in 2013, reaccredited in 2016. In 2021 we were awarded our silver institutional Athena Swan award, demonstrating progress and impact in embedding gender equality across the  institution.. We are also a member of the Race Equality Charter, achieving our Bronze institutional Race Equality Charter award in 2019 demonstrating our commitment to improving the representation, progression and success of minority ethnic staff and students at our university.

We are a proud Stonewall Diversity Champion, a programme which supports and promotes fair practice in relation to the employment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender staff, reaffirming our commitment to equality for LGBTQ+ staff and students.
