The Director of Estates and Facilities Management is the accountable lead for environmental and corporate sustainability performance. 

Ollie Swan, Head of Sustainability

Ollie heads-up the Sustainability team and is a co-lead of Global Challenges, the University’s institutional response to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The team’s focus is to address the environmental and corporate dimensions of sustainability as part of Global Challenges.

Lucy Lisle, Sustainability and Travel Manager 

Lucy leads on the development, management and implementation of the university’s sustainable travel agenda including travel plans, active travel, parking and fleet management services. In addition to this, Lucy’s work covers the university’s wider environmental and corporate sustainability agenda, in support of our Global Challenges agenda.

Lucy Lisle Sustainability and Travel Manager

Jude Harkins, Energy and Carbon Manager 

Jude is responsible for managing our approach to net zero carbon emissions on our campuses. This includes management of the Carbon Management Plan and identifying, delivering and monitoring energy and carbon reduction projects.

Mark Burkill, Parking and Transport Officer

Izzy White, Sustainability Projects Officer 

Izzy supports several projects in the team, with a particular focus on the Environmental Management System, waste and recycling activities and the development of the Global Challenges institutional approach to sustainability.

Izzy White - Sustainability Projects Assistant

Professor Mark Devenney, Professor of Critical Theory

Mark is a co-lead for Global Challenges, Mark leads on embedding education for sustainable development (ESD) across our research and teaching. Mark is a professor in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and teaches Environmental Politics. Global Challenges is the University of 69成人网's response to the ESD agenda, ensuring that the UN sustainable development goals underpin our teaching and learning, research, public and community engagement, campus operations and organisational culture.
