The fees listed in the table above are for full-time UK undergraduate students in academic year 2025-26. You will pay further fees in each year of your course. UK undergraduate and certain postgraduate fees are regulated by the UK government. The annual fee is reviewed each year and may be subject to increase. The annual fee increase will not exceed the UK government's maximum regulated tuition fee limit set for the relevant academic year.

* Tuition fees for classroom-based foundation years are subject to Parliamentary approval.

The £5,760 fee applies to the integrated foundation year only – the tuition fee for subsequent years of the course will be the regulated fee applicable to undergraduate honours degrees (currently £9,535).

The government has announced that maintenance loans and tuition fees in England are changing in line with inflation from September 2025. You can read more about changes to maintenance loans and tuition fees from 2025–26 here.

What's included in my fee?

Essential aspects of your course are included in your tuition fee including teaching, learning materials, uniforms and protective clothing, use of specialist software, access to industry-standard facilities, as well as any compulsory study trips and field work.

Your tuition fee also gives you access to support services, facilities and resources.

Student loans

UK undergraduate students studying their first degree can apply for two types of loan:

  • a loan to pay for tuition fees
  • and a maintenance loan to help with living costs.

You don’t need to start paying back the student loans until after you have graduated and are earning more than the repayment threshold, which is currently £25,000 per year. The amount you repay each month depends on how much you are earning – if you earn more, you repay more each month. Repayments are deducted from your salary at source.

Tuition fee loan

You can borrow the money from Student Finance England to pay your annual tuition fees. Student Finance England will pay the fees directly to the university. Students in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland can apply to their student funding body.

Maintenance loan for living costs

Your maintenance loan helps with living costs such as accommodation, food and travel. The amount of maintenance loan you get depends on your household income. The maximum you can borrow for living costs if you are living away from home and studying outside of London, is £10,544 yearly. If you are living at home the maximum maintenance loan is £8,877 yearly.
