Join us for consultancy, work or study

The Advanced Engineering Centre at the University of 69³ÉÈËÍø has built long-standing relationships with key industry partners, collaborators and consultants across all aspects of engineering, and we welcome new contacts.

Our researchers are based in the Advanced Engineering Building, an innovative £14 million investment into cutting-edge facilities needed to tackle the most pressing engineering challenges. 

We also welcome the opportunity to work with postgraduate students, visiting researchers and external associate members.

Engineering research consultancy and collaboration

The Advanced Engineering Centre works with a range of engineering companies on innovative research in partnership with the automotive industry to promote vital industrial knowledge-exchange.

The centre extends its long-term partnership with Ricardo through a dedicated combustion engine research area on the ground floor. In addition, there are cutting edge engine test cells, mechanical engineering workshops and learning spaces. As an  spoke, the centre supports internal combustion engine thermal efficiency research and development with industry across the UK and leads on low carbon internal combustion engine thermal efficiency as the ICE Thermal Efficiency Spoke.

Ambitious and talented postgraduate research students are at the heart of the research and enterprise activities within the Advanced Engineering Centre, demonstrated by the numbers of student co-authored papers produced.

Our PhD students are involved across all research areas of the centre.
