We recognise some aspects of university life can be challenging, so we have a range of support available to help you succeed.

Our caring team offer friendly, practical advice. Once we understand your circumstances, we may signpost to more focused support from teams with bookable appointments or drop-in sessions. This may be to see your Student Support and Guidance Tutor (SSGT), the Disability and Learning Support Team, or a qualified counsellor, for example.

Unicards

We know how important your unicard is, for accessing buildings and registering your attendance. We issue replacement cards if lost (subject to a small fee) or faulty.

Guidance

Our knowledgeable, professional staff answer a wide range of student-related enquires. Where we cannot resolve your query, we will endeavour to find someone who can. Areas we often refer to include:

• Student View - we can direct you to the right place to download proof of studies/confirmation, council tax exemption and banking letters, and who to contact for bespoke letters.
• Housing advice - from the Accommodation Service
• Financial support - from the Student Money Advice team
• Employment opportunities - from the Careers and Employability team.
